Frequently asked Questions
Can children be booked on this package?
Yes, children are very welcome. Breakfast is served at the same time as the adults. Children's evening meals are served at 6pm and consist of two courses, a main course and dessert. Water and squash are provided; soft drinks such as Coke and Fanta are not included.
Children aged 12 and over are charged at the adult rate. Children aged 1–4 eat free of charge, but remain the responsibility of their parents at all times.
Can you cater for vegetarians, vegans and special dietary requirements?
Yes. We can cater for vegetarian and vegan diets, coeliac requirements and most other dietary needs. Please provide full details on your enquiry form so that we can plan accordingly.
For severe allergies, the relevant allergen will be excluded from all meals. However, we cannot guarantee that ingredients have not come into contact with traces of allergens during production or preparation.
Who chooses the menu?
Our chefs can offer suggestions before your arrival, but menus are not fixed in advance. Your chef will plan the week's meals around your group's dietary requirements, preferences and any likes or dislikes you tell us about before your holiday.
Is there a minimum group size for this package?
The minimum group size is ten adults. Smaller groups are welcome to enquire, but the minimum charge will be based on ten adults.
Which La Plagne resorts do you offer the 6-Day Classic Package?
Our Classic 6-Day Catered Package is available in Montchavin, Plagne Montalbert, Les Coches and Champagny-en-Vanoise
Do we need a deposit to confirm the booking?
Yes. A non-refundable deposit of €55 per adult is required to confirm your booking. Children's costs are included in the final invoice, which is issued six weeks before arrival.
The balance is due four weeks before arrival. Please refer to our full Terms & Conditions for further details, including our cancellation policy.
When does the service begin and end?
The service begins with dinner on Saturday evening and ends after dinner on Friday evening, providing six evening meals during your stay.
Breakfast and afternoon tea are provided on five days only. Neither is served on the chef's day off, which is normally Wednesday, although this can be flexible. Breakfast is also not provided on the morning of departure.
Are you flexible with the time we eat?
Dinner time is agreed in advance and your chef plans preparation and service around it.
We allow 5-10 minutes' tolerance; beyond that, chefs can't extend their working day, so please tell us if your plans might make you late. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions
What is host service?
For groups larger than 10, we add a chalet host to work alongside your chef. The host serves each course at the table, clears between courses, keeps drinks topped up and looks after the dining room, so the chef can stay focused on the food and your group can stay seated and enjoy the evening. The host also helps with breakfast and afternoon tea service, and tidies the kitchen and dining areas afterwards.
What is AOC wine?
AOC stands for Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée, France’s official designation of controlled origin. It means the wine comes from a specific region and must meet defined rules governing its production. The designation guarantees its origin and adherence to those standards, giving you an authentic taste of France’s wine-making traditions.
Discover La Plagne
La Plagne is one of my favourite ski areas in the Alps. It’s big, varied and, like the 3 Valleys, you can ski for days without feeling like you’ve seen everything. It also has a slightly more unpretentious feel, which I really like. And if you’re lucky enough to get a good dump of snow, there’s plenty of terrain to explore — with so much skiing available, the powder doesn’t disappear quite as quickly as it does in some of the busier resorts.
What makes La Plagne particularly interesting is the mix of high-altitude purpose-built resorts and the older mountain villages lower down. Places such as Montchavin, Les Coches and Champagny-en-Vanoise have retained much of their original character, with old stone buildings, traditional chalets and, in places, working farms still part of village life. It gives the area a much stronger sense of place than you might expect from such a large ski domain.

For our La Plagne catering, we cover Montchavin, Les Coches, Champagny-en-Vanoise and Plagne Montalbert, giving you plenty of choice when it comes to finding the right chalet and the right setting for your holiday.
