Courchevel 1850 is the glamorous heart of the Courchevel-Saint Bon valley, sitting on the eastern edge of The Three Valleys. Fast modern lifts, immaculate slopes and a long list of Michelin-starred restaurants make it one of the most sought-after resorts in the Alps.

The village stretches from 1,750 metres up to 2,100 metres, with luxury chalets set among the trees and close to the pistes. Many offer ski-in/ski-out access, making it easy to get out onto the mountain each morning.
The centre is lined with ski shops, jewellers and designer boutiques, alongside five-star hotels and exclusive cocktail bars. Away from the slopes, there are private spas, cinemas and an indoor ice rink, providing plenty to do after a day outdoors.
Getting around is easy, too. A free ski bus connects Courchevel 1850 with the lively village of 1650, while the gondola down to Le Praz runs until 11.30 pm, making an evening in its traditional streets easy to arrange. The resort also has its own altiport, used by private aircraft arriving in the mountains.
The Ski Area
Courchevel’s 150 kilometres of piste is arguably the best groomed in the world and joins seamlessly with the 600km Three Valleys ski area. Its north-facing slopes combined with extensive snow cannon coverage guarantees top-notch conditions from early December until late April
The uber-modern high-speed lift system lets you explore almost uninterrupted, queues are rare even during peak weeks. Take the gondola high up to the top of Saulire at 2738 metres to open up the whole Courchevel valleys or drop straight into sunny Meribel.
Wide-open rolling slopes make for glorious skiing conditions to easily access La Tania, 1650, Le Praz along with Meribel and Val Thorens.
With guaranteed snow, international ski schools, easy-going beginner slopes, long rolling intermediate trails, challenging black runs and ample off-piste there are few ski resorts that can compete with this French A-lister.
